SEASTAR

SEASTAR – what they are committed to.

SEASTAR is a Nova Scotia based, non-profit charitable Society committed to the advancement of young people through the development of life skills and experience aboard tall ships. The Society is committed to fostering inclusiveness and diversity in its activities and participants and makes a special effort to reach out to youth at risk, disadvantaged youth and youth from varied social, economic, ethnic and ability backgrounds.

The Society reflects the importance of the sea-faring tradition in the province of Nova Scotia and in Atlantic Canada and respects the important contribution made to the development of that tradition through organizations such as the Nova Scotia Sea School, The Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, the Canadian Navy, yacht clubs and the NSYA.
